"If you're looking for something, just Google it" would me something that you would hear from some people. Well, that would depend on which search engine is dominant in their place, but you get my point. Just like what one of the people said in the video, you can find most of the information that you need on the Internet. Just that statement would give you an idea how important it is to be visible online if you have a business.

Simply having a website isn't enough, though. If you really want to be visible, you have to make sure that your website is something that's worth seeing. Take note that your goal is to make your site visible to people. To do that, you have to do some stuff on your website so that the search engines can consider your site as a good one, just like what you think the people would say about your site. You can do SEO by yourself, but you can also try asking for the help of an <a href="http://www.endlessrise.com/" rel="nofollow">SEO reseller</a>.

Hello and thanks for the comment.
Remember with the recent Penguin update it is more important than ever to diversify your anchor text. Also comment spam is getting hit hard, so there will not be many more comments approved unless they add some real value to the discussion. Comments that say, 'hi, nice post, blah blah blah, with the keyword as the anchor text and a link to some spammy site will no longer cut it. You are risking getting penalised in the SERPs. You would be better to spend the time creating some good content, and then spreading the content around so people will link to it naturally. There will be more juice this way.

Enjoy the mountain road,

Hey thanks Bloomtools. I really like what you guys do, I really do. If it was Wordpress then I would really go for it.

Will you ever make a version of Bloomtools for Wordpress?

Keep Spinning the Web...

Hey Chris,
Thanks for taking a look, I appreciate your time greatly. Like I said it was good to meet you and David at the SEO Meetup Melbourne (http://seomeetups.com.au/melbourne-seo-meetup/) . I also find the Marketing website very useful (http://marketing.com.au)

Also, on the topic of frameworks, I am thinking of trying out the Genesis framework.

See you next time.

Hi Peter,

David covered things very well. In relation to the All-In-One plugin, there are mixed feeling about using them. Personally I think they're great time savers, but if you're using a theme framework such as Genesis or Thesis (or others) you can end up with way too many options and there is a potential for conflicts. I use Yoast SEO (http://yoast.com/wordpress/seo/) and I've heard others recommend Platinum (http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/platinum-seo-pack/).

Good luck with the site, it's looking good!

Cheers,
Chris

Hello David,
Thanks for taking the time to take a look and also leave some comments for me. I think your point are very well received, and they are a must do for me now that the Golf Pain Away website is up and running.

To help with all of the points you have made, I am considering using the wordpress plug http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/all-in-one-seo-pack/ Do you think all in one seo pack could address the above points you have made?

BTW I like the info on this post: http://lostpr.es/2011/12/18/refresh-trends-to-end-2011/

Thanks David.

Cheers,

Hello Peter,

Just a few quick points, the website's page title is "GPA" this is not really that well optimised for your golf products. Also a number of the basics such as Meta Description (what people see in SERPs) are missing and will help increase the CTR from the SERPs.

To help search engines understand what the images are, you should ensure ALT tags used on all the images across the website.

To help search engines crawl your content more efficiently, you should add a XML Sitemap.

I hope that helps.
