Also comment spam is getting hit hard, so there will not be many more comments approved unless they add some real value to the discussion. Comments that say, 'hi, nice post, blah blah blah, with the keyword as the anchor text and a link to some spammy site will no longer cut it. You are risking getting penalised in the SERPs. You would be better to spend the time creating some good content, and then spreading the content around so people will link to it naturally. There will be more juice this way.
